VWSC Juniors Shine Once Again at Nationals
We had four junior members of our club attend Three Event Nationals Aug 13-17, and one attend Wakeboard
Nationals Aug 14-17this year. All deserve congratulations, and all saw the podium!
At Three Event Nationals in Newmarket, Ontario, Sarah Macdonald was 2nd in jump, 2nd in trick, and 2nd overall in Girls 3. In Junior Women, Melissa Long was 1st in trick, and 3rd overall. In Mens Under 21, Robbie Paterson was 3rd in jump. In Womens Under 21, Jessica Long was 3rd in slalom. See here for the official results. At Wakeboard Nationals in Regina, Saskatchewan, Phaedra Harder was 2nd in Wakeskate. Official results to come. Photos to come. | |

We held the second annual Covert Wake Jam and BC Wakeboard Provincials August 8-10. There were about 65 competitors, with their friends and family. The riders all had good music, great food, flat water (in spite of some rain), and and overall great time. See the results. Thanks to our sponsors and volunteers for giving generously.

Our Kids Camps went extremely well this year. Despite the rain on Day 2 of our second Kids Camp, all went well.
Thanks to all volunteers, as well as a the paid leaders who all pulled together to make it happen, especially our main coordinator, Louise Harder. We had a stellar SkiAbility day on July 19, with eager athletes and huge support from our club members!
