2005 Photos - Barge Repair

The barge was badly in need of repair after surviving the winter tied up to our dock. Our new barge master Rob Wainman would like to thank Doug Brain, Jim Kirk, and Michael Long for their help in getting it back to shape for all the work it needs to do in the upcoming season.

The barge was lifted 10 am Sat March 19th. Most of the pressure washing and engine disassembly was completed by 5 pm. On Sunday Mike assisted with the engine assembly and final cleaning. On Monday the legs were primed and the steering cylinder was replaced. The weather was cold and rainy so the bottom paint could not go on until Tuesday. Doug assisted with the bottom paint Tuesday, and on Wednesday morning it was returned to our site.
